John Updike- "Made in Heaven"

"How little, little to the point of nothingness, he was under those stars! Even the great ship, the Enterprise, that held him a tall building's height above the monotonous swells was reduced to the size of a pinpoint in such perspective. And yet, it was he who was witnessing the stars. They knew nothing of themselves, so in this dimension he was greater than they."

Bryan Adams - "CMT Crossroads - Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean 2 - "Heaven""

Bryan Adams - "CMT Crossroads - Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean 2 - "Heaven"": "CMT Crossroads - Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean 2 - 'Heaven'"

This weekend was amazing.

The Trio went to the Jason Aldean and Eric Church concert in Little Rock.
Yes, I know many find this a flaw, the fact that I love country music, but I can't deny my love for it and in particular, these two men...

That's Eric.

That's Jason.

I am undeniably head over heels for them. Their music and their voices are like an instant feel good pill to my heart.

A little dramatic? I think so.

The link above is to a show that Jason Aldean did with Bryan Adams (famous for his 80's and early 90's music such as Heaven, Summer of '69)and Jason Adlean did a cover of his song "Heaven."

Bottom line: I can't listen to it enough. I wasn't sure if he was going to sing it at his concert just because it isn't his song. But I like to think God sent it as a gift for me and in the middle of his concert I heard the first few notes and yes, I screamed like a 7th grade girl did at an NSync concert when they sang "God Must Have Spent a Little More Time On You." (That title is way too long.)

But listen to it and try not to fall in love with it. And if you can't stand twangy country music, too bad.

It's great.

My Mini, Maybe Major Obessession

Something about me that many of you may not know is that I have a slight obessession with Boy Meets World.

Yes, the 90's TGIF sitcom with the handsome, curly headed Cory Matthews, the suave and trailer-parked raised Sean Hunter, and the hilarious can-make-me-cry laughing, Eric Matthews. See:

If I were the bachelorette and they were my final three bachelors, I have no idea who I would choose. I would probably have to give them all a rose because I love each and every one of them dearly.

Anyways...Boy Meets World is my anti-drug and has been for the past almost 10 years. When I am in a bad mood, I watch BMW. When I am sad, I watch BMW. When I am stressed out, I watch BMW. When I need to laugh, I watch BMW. When I need to cry, I watch BMW.

So, I think you get the picture. I love this show.

Last night, I woke up at 3 AM after one of those wonderful but terrible dreams that you wish were real but it isn't so you enter into slight depression...ya...it was one of those dreams and I couldn't go back to sleep...for 45 minutes.

So my remedy: watching an episode of BMW on Youtube from my phone.

Three things I fell in love with all over again last night: IPhone, YouTube, and BMW. Three very dependable things in a time of great instability and confusion which is consuming my life.

I am so thankful for Boy Meets World. If you don't watch it, you should give it a try. You, too, can stay drug free. (yes, please read that in the Billy Mays voice.)

Oh and ps- I was surfing the net yesterday and found this picture. And yes...of course it is the new background on my phone. It speaks billions to me. :)

growing up...

I won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
No, no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up

No one's ever burned you
Nothing's ever left you scarred
And even though you want to
Just try to never grow up

Sweet Home Alabama - Ending

Hi!

I know, I have not blogged in forever. When I am on break from school, I usually stay far away from my computer. However, school starts in one day and I was going to wait to blog until I got back to Siloam...but a snow storm came and blanketed our little town of Little Rock. We were snowed in for half of the day yesterday, all of the day today, and probably until tomorrow afternoon. So...boredom sets in and the computer becomes a source of entertainment.

Molly and Kathrine have been over here the whole time which has been a lifesaver. We played in the snow, walked some places, snow sledded around neighborhoods pulled behind a Tahoe with some friends, and watched lots of movies. Yay. I just love snow days. Especially when they can set back my departure to Siloam Springs, where I will have to go finish my last semester of College and then become a grown-up.

AGHHHHHHHHHH. freak out moment. AGHHHHHHHHHHH. breathe. and done.

Anyways, these are the movies The Trio (Molly, Kat, and I) have watched.

Such a great movie. Living in the North and the South, I can truly say that the stereotypes portrayed by each "culture context" are pretty dang accurate.

The first half was better than the last half. I really like Emma Stone though and I think she played the role amazingly. I would give it a 7. There was just some unnecessary stuff in it towards the end but it was pretty funny.

Yes, Molly and Kat suckered me into it. It's not that I hate the movie, I just hate how unrealistic it is. Guys aren't like him. And if they are, then frick, they somehow stay far away from my side of the tracks. However, the movie really is a great love story and amazingly enough it was written by a male: Nicholas Sparks. I heart him.

I made the other two watch this after we watched the sappy love story. This movie is one of my all time favorites. I saw it for the first time in Ireland. It is depressing to some but so raw and realistic, and gives a very unique perspective to the Holocaust from a kid's point of view. If you haven't seen it, rent it, grab a tissue box, enclose yourself in a room and watch it. Just make sure you don't have to go to a wedding or something happy and cheery afterwards. You will officially earn the title of "Party Pooper".

That's all for now.
