Cooking!

Amanda came over last night and we cooked Chicken-stir fry! And it actually turned out really yummy. We also ate some steamed edamame- which is so easy and a great addition to really any meal.

For dessert, I made cheesecake pudding and Amanda brought Oreos that we dipped in the pudding. So yummy.

Happiness...

"Being happy is not an easy thing. It is hard to be happy, but it is also hard being depressed. You have to choose your hard. I think being happy comes from acceptance, forgiveness, and giving your best every day. You have to work for it. Life can be tough, more so than it is easy, but I think it is so important to choose happiness and strive to live in the light."

Instead of Waking-Up

This morning, instead of waking up and getting ready for the day, I sat in my room looking at pictures of Fall...because fall is my favorite season in Arkansas...and I can smell it in the air. Two days ago, I pre-gamed for fall. The day consisted of cooking chili, watching "You've Got Mail", and hanging around my house in my pjs while getting work done.

I loved every second of it. The only thing that was missing was the cold crisp air outside and a pumpkin candle that I will be purchasing this weekend.

Here are some pictres I found.

"Look at the Stars"

This is my new favorite saying and it really has nothing to do with "Yellow" by Coldplay.

However, I can't help but want to listen to the song every time I say it.

But why do I like it you may ask? Well, because it reminds me that amongst all the chaos that is going on in my life here on Earth, there is such a bigger world out there and there is a God who had the power to create the moon, the sun, the stars...the whole Universe...and He is holding it all together, keeping each object in its designated spot.

He knows how many stars are in the sky. He can surely control and handle the chaos in my life as long as I let Him.

I need you, God. I am trying to let you take control because I am slowly starting to lose it.

So I will continue to look at the stars.

Running Away

When I was walking down the aisle, I was walking toward somebody who didn't have any idea who I really was. And it was only half the other person's fault, because I had done everything to convince him that I was exactly what he wanted. So it was good that I didn't go through with it because it would have been a lie.

I will be wearing my tennis shoes for quite some time.

It's a Girl!

So for those of you who are not aware, I am going to be an aunt in about six months! My sister Lindsey is almost 15 weeks pregnant with her and her husband's first child. We all just found out tonight what she was having and although I was rooting for a little nephew, God planned differently (as always) and gave them a little girl.

We didn't know until we cut the cake and the color of the icing revealed the sex. How cute and creative is that?

Can't wait for BabyWood to get here!! (Woodward is their last name so I officially named the baby BabyWood until we have the for real name)
